This 8-day mountain biking adventure connects Ouarzazate with Merzouga in a full desert and mountain loop. The route crosses Skoura, the Valley of Roses, the Saghro Mountains, Alnif, and the Sahara before heading back through Nkob and the Draa Valley. You’ll ride through oases, rocky canyons, wide desert plains, and traditional Berber villages, experiencing Morocco’s most iconic landscapes in one unforgettable MTB journey.

Start your adventure riding from Ouarzazate toward the open plateaus leading to Skoura. The scenery is calm and wide, with small Berber villages and the first palm groves appearing as you get closer to the oasis. Skoura welcomes you with green fields, old kasbahs, and peaceful farmland. A perfect and easy first day.
Follow quiet tracks through the Valley of Roses, known for its flower fields and mountain views. The day takes you along riverside paths, traditional villages, and rolling terrain. The landscapes become more colorful as you approach Kelaat M’Gouna.
Ride out of the valley and into the wild Saghro Mountains. This area is full of rocky canyons, black volcanic cliffs, and occasional nomad camps. After crossing the mountains, you descend into the open desert plains around Alnif, where the horizon feels endless.
Enter the real desert. The tracks are mostly flat with stretches of sand, stone desert, and dry riverbeds. As the day goes on, the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi appear in the distance. Arriving in Merzouga by bike at sunset is an unforgettable moment.
After breakfast at the edge of the dunes, ride southwest on remote desert tracks. Expect wide plains, soft hills, and quiet landscapes. M’harch is a small desert outpost surrounded by silence and pure Sahara scenery.
Today you cross a mix of desert tracks, stony sections, and oasis patches. As you move west, the Saghro Mountains slowly return to view. You finish in Nkob, known for its many kasbahs and beautiful mountain surroundings.
Leave Nkob and follow smoother trails leading into the long palm groves of the Draa Valley. Enjoy refreshing scenery with date palms, gardens, small rivers, and traditional mud villages. A relaxing cultural day in one of Morocco’s most beautiful valleys.
Your final ride takes you through rolling hills, volcanic landscapes, and peaceful Berber villages. The route becomes more scenic as you get closer to Ouarzazate. Arriving here marks the end of your MTB adventure—time to relax, enjoy mint tea, and celebrate the trip.
