This 10-day mountain bike tour offers one of the finest cycling routes in South-East Morocco. From the dramatic passes of the High Atlas to the palm-filled valleys of the Drâa and the vast dunes of Erg Chegaga, this journey combines adventure, physical challenge, and authentic cultural encounters.

Cyclists ride through remote villages, UNESCO sites, wide desert plateaus, and some of the most impressive landscapes in the region. A professional MTB guide and a support 4×4 vehicle ensure comfort, safety, and full logistical assistance throughout the tour.

10-Day Mountain Bike Adventure in South-East Morocco Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Marrakesh

Arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport. Our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel or riad in the medina.
You will have free time to walk around the old city, visit the souks, or enjoy the busy Jemaa el-Fna square with its cafés, storytellers, and street food.

Day 2Marrakech → Telouet → Aït Ben Haddou

Morning transfer across the High Atlas mountains through the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
Once in Telouet, you start your first MTB stage with a visit to the beautiful Kasbah of the Glaoui.
Then you ride through the colourful Ounila Valley, passing small Berber villages, gardens, and rock formations.
You finally reach Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous ksars.

Day 3Aït Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Oasis of Fint

After breakfast, start cycling towards Ouarzazate. You can visit the Kasbah Taourirt if you wish.
From Ouarzazate, continue on quiet desert tracks until you arrive at the peaceful Oasis of Fint, hidden between rocky cliffs and palm trees.
Enjoy a relaxing evening in nature.

Day 4Oasis of Fint → Tizi n’Tinififft → Agdz

Start the day with a climb towards the Tizi n’Tinififft Pass, offering wide views over the mountains.
From the top, enjoy a long and beautiful descent all the way to the start of the Drâa Valley, famous for its palm groves and kasbahs.
You reach Agdz, a calm village surrounded by date palms.

Day 5Agdz → Zagora (Drâa Valley)

Today you ride through the heart of the Drâa Valley, one of the most scenic areas in southern Morocco.
The path goes through green palm groves, small Berber villages, old adobe kasbahs, and traditional farmland.
You finish the day in Zagora, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.

Day 6Zagora → Tamegroute → M’Hamid

In the morning, stop in Tamegroute, where you can visit its unique green-clay pottery workshops and the ancient Quranic library.
Continue riding across open desert landscapes until you reach M’Hamid El Ghizlane, the last village before the big dunes of the Sahara.
Enjoy a peaceful desert evening.

Day 7M’Hamid → Erg Chegaga

A special day in the deep desert.
You ride across a mix of sandy trails, rocky sections, and open desert until you reach the impressive dunes of Erg Chegaga, one of the largest dune fields in Morocco.
Arrive before sunset and enjoy a night under the stars in a comfortable luxury camp.

Day 8Erg Chegaga → Lake Iriki → Foum Zguid

Ride through the vast, dry Lake Iriki, a flat desert plain perfect for fast tracks.
Continue towards Foum Zguid, a small desert town marking the end of the off-road stage.
Relax at your guesthouse after a great day of adventure.

Day 9Foum Zguid → Marrakech

After breakfast, transfer back to Marrakech by road via Taznakht, a town famous for its handmade Berber carpets.
Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. Free time to explore, shop, or rest.

Day 10Departure from Marrakech

Depending on your flight time, transfer to the airport.
